Big City Campaign

Black Friday Rotterdam was the first joint event on Friday November 24 in 2017,  in the context of Black Friday in The Netherlands. The tradition that came from America is growing fast in the Netherlands with growing discount campaigns and participating stores. Urban Department Stores and Rotterdam Partners asked Gem creative agency to create a PR strategy and creative event concepts to launch Black Friday Rotterdam as a big city campaign. As a result, a successful Black Friday weekend in Rotterdam was organised, with exclusive deals by local museums, hotels, restaurants and shops.


From Mancave to Shopping Deals

Together with the Maritime Museum, Holland Casino, the Bijenkorf, Decathlon, Bram Ladage, Hema, McDonalds, Van den Assem and various local retailers, great campaigns and activations were set up. Furthermore, we joined forces with NS Spoordeeluitjes with which national train travelers could travel to Rotterdam in combination with great shopping deals. Also, Gem creative agency contributed with the idea of a mancave in partnership with Playstation, Heineken and Mediamarkt, to entertain the waiting men during shopping. It launch was hosted by Fred van Leer in the presence of local press and influencers.
