De Grote Nederlandse Kunstkalender 2018

This year we organized the launch of De Grote Nederlandse Kunstkalender in our very own Club Gem. It was a special night, celebrating 365 Dutch artists and opening our new art and event space. Because this is the third year Gem creative agency partners with De Grote Nederlandse Kunstkalender, we thought it might be powerful to add something special to the program. We came up with the idea to connect de Bijenkorf’s artist in residence project “Room on the Room” to De Grote Nederlandse Kunstkalender. With their cultural partner Rijksmuseum they selected three artists from the calendar who had the chance to make a work of art in commission. The first chosen artist is Krijn de Koning who will create and present an installation in de Bijenkorf Rotterdam during Art Rotterdam Week 2018. Furthermore, this is also the first time that Room on the Roof presents a project in de Bijenkorf Rotterdam.
